I am a journalist by profession, but have been setting up and leading youth media organisations for over six years. I am based in Berlin, Germany, and have worked and studied in Finland, Spain, Latin America and South East Asia. Currently my main interests are how to create equal opportunities for all and fostering inclusion, as well as fake news and propaganda as challenges to democracy.
Why I joined FutureLab Europe? I believe that FutureLab Europe can help counter young people’s disengagement from European politics and that it has the potential of bringing together ideas and experiences from regions and fields that normally I would not have had the chance to cross.
Why do I think that Europe needs active citizens? For me, active citizenship means feeling that what happens in society around us is of importance to everyone. Every person can find their own way of engaging in public life, be it on a community level or by reaching out to a Member of the European Parliament.
