I have a background in energy and environmental engineering. I am based in Stockholm, Sweden but have also lived and studied in Lebanon and the Netherlands. My main interests are human rights, especially children’s and women’s rights, and cultural exchange.
Why I joined FutureLab Europe? I joined FutureLab Europe because I believe that it is time for us to work together for a more inclusive and open Europe. I believe that FutureLab creates a platform for different European young people to discuss important issues and to influence our countries, our Europe and our world.
Why do I think that Europe needs active citizens? I believe Europe needs active citizens because citizens are the ones that really shape Europe and its future. People have powers and capabilities that should not be underestimated; these capabilities should be used and appreciated. It is active citizenship that helps others make use of these capabilities to create a better Europe for everyone.
