Stine Solvoll Navarsete

EPCI have a background in International Development and Environmental Studies and Human Rights law. I am based in Norway, but have studied and lived in the UK, Tanzania and Nicaragua. My main interests are the protection of asylum seekers and refugees in a European context, student activism and international politics.

Why I joined FutureLab Europe? I believe that FutureLab Europe is a unique platform for young Europeans to meet and discuss the current challenges that Europe is facing. Even though we come from different backgrounds, I believe that connection through such an inspiring network enables us to develop innovative solutions and ideas on how to foster active citizenship in Europe.

Why do I think that Europe needs active citizens? With a background from student activism and human rights studies, I believe that only through active citizenship and empowering young voices can democracy really exist and human rights be protected. We need citizens to play an active role in the future of their own country and Europe as a whole.
