On 11 November, the Berlin Foreign Policy Forum 2014 again gathered an international group of app. 200 eminent politicians, government representatives, experts and journalists.

For FutureLab Europe Ia Melkadze (Georgia), Zuzana Novakova (Slovakia), Veronika Sobolova (Slovakia), Miruna Troncota (Romania) and Ulyana Vynyarchuk (Ukraine) joined the debates on geopolitical challenges in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Their aim was to add the voice of the young European generation to a debate dominated by older generations.

This year, the list of prominent speakers included Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Federica Mogherini, The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Andrey Kortunov, Director General, Russian International Affairs Council, Moscow and Pavlo Sheremeta, fmr.
