The team behind Letters to Europe is pleased to invite you to join the launch of the book “Letters to Europe – refugee women write” and the theatre performance “refugee (woman) : )”, based on the stories of female refugees included in the book.

The book presentation and theatre performance will take place in Berlin on September 16 and in Brussels on September 21. Join us in either city for two colourful  and diverse evenings!

PREMIERE IN BERLIN – SEPTEMBER 16, 2017 – Flugwerk, Osloer Straße 12, Berlin

The event will take place on September 16th at 19:00 (admission from 18:30), at the FLUGWERK (3rd floor of Fabrik Osloer Straße, Osloer Straße 12, 13359 Berlin) in Berlin. We will start with the presentation of the book „Letters to Europe – refugee women write“, in which 15 female refugees from all over Europe shared their very different stories, perspectives, concerns and hopes for the future.

The official book release will be followed immediately by the premiere of “refugee (woman) : )“, a short theatre performance developed on the basis of the stories in the book by three talents: the actress, writer and musician Enana from Syria, writer Gudrun Buchholz from Germany and director Konstantin Buchholz who is part of the „Letters to Europe“ project team. The performance will include some musical elements and other surprises!

The evening will end with an open interview and discussion between writers, project members and the audience about the content of the book, the performance and the project work. Every participant will get one copy of the book at the beginning of the event.

The event in Brussels will follow the same structure as the one in Berlin. The event will take place on September 21st at 19:00 (admission from 18:30), in the exhibition space of IoSono Winebar, in Rue du Trône 62, 1050 Bruxelles.
