History Campus in Berlin: Look back and think forward

europe-14-14-look-back-think-forwardOn the centenary of the beginning of the First World War, Berlin became the European meeting point to “look back and think forward”. From 7 to  11 May over 400 young people met with experts to investigate the personal significance of the Great War for young Europeans, for their national identity and for modern day Europe as a joint peace project. Participants of FutureLab Europe took an active part.

FutureLab Europe at the 2014 State of the Union Conference in Florence

The Conference brought together leading academics, policy-makers, civil society representatives, business and opinion leaders to discuss the future of the social and political model for Europe and the upcoming European elections.

FutureLab Europe at OECD Forum 2014

oecd-forum-2014-2FutureLab Europe takes part in the OECD Forum 2014 on inclusive growth, quality jobs and trust, in Paris on 5-6 May. The forum aimed to exchange ideas and experiences on inclusive growth, quality jobs and trust.It brought together all sectors of society to share policies and ideas in various plenary and parallel debates, IdeaFactories,  Discovery Lab and lunch debates. The inputs from each of these feeds into the OECD Ministerial Meeting, where government leaders and ministers discuss issues on the global agenda.

Missing a generation in EU politics: How to involve young Europeans?

László Andor, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion was the keynote speaker at the 3rd FutureLab Europe spring conference. The debate in particular focused on the involvement of younger generations in the forthcoming European elections. On this occasion, all FutureLab Europe participants from the third generation presented to Mr Andor their written report, Missing a generation in European politics – how to involve young Europeans?.

Europe@debate in Ronda, Spain – young Europeans call for a holistic approach to facilitate entrepreneurship

ronda-forum053On Saturday March 1st, in Ronda, south of Spain, more than 150 participants took part in the Ronda Forum on Education and Entrepreneurship. The event was opened by a Europe@debate between Lieve Fransen, Director for Social Policies and Europe 2020 at the European Commission and young Europeans from FutureLab Europe.
