The future of Europe is not just a story being written. It is also a story to be told: The effects on every day life by EU politics, non-government organisations, and private initiatives in Brussels and elsewhere in Europe, have to be brought ‘out there’; they have to be reported. The effects on single individuals ought to be shown, and personal stories ought to be told. As a video journalist, this is how I can contribute my part in implementing the European idea. This is why I am happy to be part of FutureLab Europe: There are million stories about Europe out there to be told. FutureLab Europe provides me with the greatest opportunity to find them, and tell a few of them.
